Samsung is expected to announce a new smaller Galaxy S III smartphone this week, the device is rumored to be called the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini, and Samsung are expected to announce the handset on the 11th of October.

The Samsung Galaxy S III Mini is rumored to feature a 4 inch display, and now according to the guys over at Sammobile, the device will feature a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

S3 Mini

This was discovered on Samsung’s mobile WAP site, and a device with the reference GT-I8190 was discovered, which is also reported to feature an ARM11 based processor and run Android, probably Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

We should have full details on the new Samsung Galaxy S III mini later this week, it is also rumored to feature a 5 megapixel camera and a dual core processor, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.

It’s official. Samsung has confirmed that it will be launching the 4 inch version of their flagship Galaxy S III device called the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini today. Samsung’s Mobile chief JK Shin was quoted in the Korean press as saying, “There’s a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe.  The device will be launched in Frankfurt, Germany. No other details about the smartphone have be revealed by the South-Korean firm.
