You can breathe now. Here’s the news you’ve all be waiting for, it’s the new iPhone 5. Wrong! Apple decided to call it the iPhone 4s. Please don’t ask why. It’s the same old iPhone 4 with a new twist. One thing you should not forget, Apple is a muscle company when it comes the cell phone and tablet market.
It has singlehandedly revolutionized how a phone is utilized with unheard of capabilities. We as a society
have come to expect so much from Apple innovations that unless they do something completely radical with the existing design; gradual upgrades and fine tuning won’t mean much. As of now the jury is out. By October 17th we’ll start to know what quirks exist.
The iPhone 4s will be available on the Sprint wireless network, as well as AT&T and Verizon. It will go on sale on October 14. Pre-orders for the new iPhone 4S will start on October 7, with U.S., Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, and Japan getting first bite on October 14.
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Battery Life: Improved battery life, 8 hours of talk time, 9 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 6 hours of 3G browsing.
Faster Downloads: It’s technically still 3G, but it’s capable of speeds that rival 4G phones in real world comparisons, thanks to the improved antenna. 14.4Mbps downloads, and 5.8Mbps uploads. These are the same maximum data speeds for 4G phones like the HTC Inspire 4G and the Motorola Atrix.
World Phone: CDMA and GSM technology is built into the same device. (THIS IS A GREAT IDEA)
Improved Camera: 8MP Sensor capable of macro shots, and 3264 x 2428 resolution photos. New hybrid IR filer, face detection, improved white balance, and faster photo time. Just 1.1 seconds to the first photo, and half a second to the next.
Video: 1080p video recording, noise reduction, and image stabilization.
Last but not least, a new voice-recognition feature called Siri will let iPhone users control their phones by talking to them. Perhaps most impressive of all the new features is an Intelligent Assistant named Siri, which uses sophisticated voice recognition technology to do your bidding. Press down the onscreen icon and speak to Siri via the phone’s microphone, then everything from the local real-time weather to checking stocks and shares to setting appointments, alarms and reminders to searching online for information, is made available via vocal commands. REMEMBER THE NAME SIRI, IT’S A GAME CHANGER !!!
